Mission Statement
Pict Grooving is a quiet place to read and write.New writing is posted several times a week—barring illness or similar complications. Contributors are invited to submit on a regular basis. Visitors are welcome to submit work by following the guidelines below, or to comment on existing pieces.
Groovy.

Submissions
You are invited to submit your writing, never more than 800 words, by inserting it into the body of an e-mail and sending it to pict(at)pictgrooving(dot)com. Writers will not receive a direct response, but work will be published within 48 hours—or not.All published Pict work will be considered for publication in Perigee as well.

Code of Conduct
1) Those wishing to participate must first comment on at least one, already existing, blog entry.2) Poems must not exceed 25 lines of 60 characters each, or less.
3) Flash fiction or editorial rants must not exceed 800 words.
4) Images are welcome, in conjunction with submissions or as stand-alone pieces. Include a hyperlink or the image file itself.
5) Pict Grooving claims no copyright to the work it publishes: all rights are retained by the authors. Nothing herein may be reproduced without the author's express written consent.
The Founding Furry:
Robert Woerheide founded Pict Grooving on October 24, 2006. Robert's poetry and fiction have appeared in various literary magazines including Triplopia, Coe Review, Miranda, and the premiere issue of Cadillac Cicatrix. His collection of short stories,Traveling Sitting Still, is being published by iUniverse and will be available in early 2007. Robert worked in the San Diego journalistic community, and is the managing editor of Perigee.
Regular Contributors:
Lawrence Lawson is a poet and writer currently serving in the Peace Corps in Ukraine. His writing has appeared in numerous editions of Perigee and in 2006 he was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. More of his writings are available at his personal blog (link). In addition to his short fiction and poetry, Lawrence is currently writing a novel.
